Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Syndicator handles personal data and product analytics.
Overview
Syndicator collects and uses the data it needs to operate the service, secure accounts, deliver feeds, and understand product-level usage.
Syndicator does not position itself as a data broker or advertising network. Data is used to run the reader, support core social features, and improve the product.
Data Syndicator collects
Account data such as email address, password hash, display name, and account settings.
Product data such as subscribed feeds, reading state, saved items, shared items, follows, feedback, and other actions needed for the app to work.
Operational and security data such as session cookies, IP-derived rate-limiting signals, logs, and password reset records.
Product analytics data, if analytics consent is granted, to understand usage patterns, feature adoption, and product health.
How data is used
To authenticate users, maintain sessions, synchronize feeds, rank and cluster stories, support sharing and profiles, and provide customer support.
To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and maintain security.
To measure product-level behavior and improve the reader when analytics consent has been granted.
Cookies and analytics
Syndicator uses necessary cookies for authentication and account security.
Optional analytics storage and analytics scripts are used only after consent. Declining analytics does not block access to the product.
Sharing and disclosure
Syndicator may use infrastructure and analytics providers to host and operate the service.
Syndicator does not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed when required by law, to enforce terms, or to protect the service and its users.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept for as long as it is needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security records.
Accounts can be deleted from Settings. Deleting an account removes the account record and associated in-product data required to operate that account.
Rights
Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data.
Questions or requests can be sent through Syndicator support or feedback channels.
